Biography
Dr. Adam A. Perez is assistant professor of worship studies at Belmont University in Nashville, TN and Director of University Worship. As a historian, Dr. Perez’s research is focused on the development of praise and worship theology and music, especially its transmission beyond Pentecostal and Charismatic communities and into global mainstream practice. He is a co-editor of How Worship Became Music: A Historical Sourcebook (Abingdon, 2026).
